Early childhood education – an exclusive ticket to the enchanting wonderland of children’s imaginations!
Young children have a wonderful pair of glasses through which they perceive and discover the world.
What does the sun do all day? It must be very busy, think the little children – a busy life that goes far beyond just shining.
A short story about it – created by the creative minds of children ages 3-4.
Me:
Where is the sun right now? What do you think it’s doing?
Children aged 3 to 4:
“The sun is smiling.”
“The sun is moving.”
“The sun is sometimes sick.”
“The sun is on vacation.”
“The sun is asleep.”
“The sun is playing hide-and-seek.”
“The sun is looking out for the children.”
“The sun is visiting its friends.”
Me:
Really? And who are the friends of the sun?
The children in the choir:
“The children!”
The sun and its friends – how imaginative and joyful the perspective of little ones is…
For me, these thoughts are far more than just cute; they are a precious reminder of how much potential lies dormant in young children: creative thinking, verbal magic and expression, the urge to explore the world, to understand it, to create something, and much more.
