My statement: It’s entertaining and emotionally catchy for adults to see images of children’s faces as they play or perform during a class. My priority is however to respect and protect the personal dignity of young vulnerable children. In this digital world children must have the right of protection of their privacy. Therefore, I offer a mindful, appreciative learning environment without violating children’s right to privacy. Every child deserves a space where to be just a child without “being followed” or having to pose for pictures. I don’t show and use children’s faces as a marketing tool for the social media of my early childhood education courses. Occasionally I show children while they’re playing, learning and performing but without their faces. Children must be protected!
